Ben reached out to me months prior to tell me about his planned proposal to Katelyn in Lake Tahoe. We secretly communicated so Katelyn would be clueless when the time came. Ben and I looked up locations, timing, and came up with a few ideas on how to propose to her. Luckily, I knew Katelyn and it was easy to plan a couples shoot while we were all camping in Lake Tahoe. She thought nothing of it, only that it was a couples shoot I wanted to use for marketing purposes only - insert winky face here. I scouted the location the day of the proposal while those two and my husband paddle boarded. This secluded area was THE spot. It had the view of the lake, a little of the land, and most importantly there was no one else in sight (which was one of Katelyn's wishes when she got engaged). We played it off as I photographed them for about 15 minutes like I would any normal session. I gave him the clue, and when she turned around she was in complete shock. We ended the golden hour and poured a little into blue hour as we pranced around Lake Tahoe snapping photos of their love. Hiring me as a photographer in Lake Tahoe, I promise to scout for beautiful locations such as this one!
